Biomimicry

This biomimicry design challenges playlist is for the middle school STEM class. Biomimicry is an interdisciplinary field combining biology and engineering, inspired by natural organisms, and builds engineering solutions for real-world problems. It aligns with NGSS cross-cutting concepts. This playlist of placemat instructions for LEGO Science Kits showcases the sequence of biomimicry activities and highlights some example solutions for each project. Teachers can either use them as single design challenges for 45 minutes, or treat them as a whole curriculum to teach the biomimicry topic (Instructional Materials included).
